Belize’s Independence Day Celebration is on September 21st. In 1981, on this day, Belize gain full independence from the United Kingdom.
Belizeans are quite proud of their independence and celebrate this day with festivities, music, parades and dancing.
Placencia Village holds an amazing parade through the village each year. Belizeans and tourists come from all over the country to participate this lively parade. Lots of vibrant colors, local music, dancers, Garifuna drummers just begin to explain this event.
